"Just look how tense is the jaw or the vein poppin in the neck, he has flawed technique. But majority of famous baroque singers have technical flaws...Specially when it comes to muscular tension (This is usually caused because they don't descent the larynx to achieve the white, straight tone that some people believe it's important for a baroque performance) baroque or romantic the same principles apply, the singer must to let descend the larynx so the air can pass to the maschera , and yes it's going to be vibrato because vibrato is a result of a proper custo-diaphragmatic breathing."
Un autre commentateur, Enzo Selvaggi, écrit :
"sort of a sonoric dough without any phrasing or punctuation... lovely voice, but... the breathing and the energy are oft elusive."
